National Parks in Nepal
Nepal has nine national parks, three wildlife reserves, six conservation areas, and one hunting reserve. All cover a total of 28,999 sq km, which is 19.7 % of the country total land. The National Park and wildlife reserve area is mainly surrounded by Sal forest. This is a well-balanced mixture of grassland, savannah, and riverine forests.
